| Set in the 1920s, two women both guilty of murdering their respective lovers, are on Death Row at the same time whilst trying to find the fame they desire in order to avoid an otherwise certain execution. In one of the Academy Awards' most strangest/controversial decisions, it beat Martin Scorsese's Gangs Of New York (2002) - to the Best Picture Oscar. ~ Lord. Well done version of Bob Fosse's murder-musical extravaganza. Renee Zellweger is a standout in an excellent cast. Re-released DVD contains an extra song, Class, commentaries etcetera. ~ The Sloth. |
