One of the oldest literary stories gets the latest in computer wizardry in Zemeckis re-telling of the story of warrior Beowulf and his close encounters with Grendal and Grendal's mum. Wish they'd just gone live action ala 13th Warrior. Animation is distracting and 'photo real' animation still highlights the flaws in the technique, that the characters have dead eyes. Which is odd because Woody and Shrek seem to have emotion in their eyes. |
