| The Dude abides...in cyberspace. Sequel to Tron finds the son (Hedlund) of Kevin Flynn (Bridges) drawn into the cyberworld his father created, where he has to help defeat his father's own creation, Clu (also Bridges), who is bent on taking over the real world. A bit short on plot, but long on stunning visuals (including Olivia Wilde and Beau Garrett). It would be wise for filmmakers to remember that in a decade, or even five years at this pace, the visuals here will look as quaint as the original film, so perhaps the plot should have its holes patched a bit more deftly. Daft Punk's score is the driving force behind this neon fantasy, and should be sought out. |
