| One of the earliest L&H talkies, this is the one where the boys are preparing to take their wives on a Sunday afternoon picnic. But despite their best efforts, they don't even make it to the end of the road. A miserable uncle (Kennedy) suffering from gout is severely and frequently assaulted by Laurel, the sandwiches which were made are completely ruined, a friendly neighbor becomes their worst nightmare and the car encounters a puncture. Typical day for them really. |
