| Early Laurel & Hardy 2-reel 'talkie' has them as musicians traveling by train to a show they are due to perform in. Once they have boarded the train, and having lost most of their sheet music, they spend all of their time getting undressed and trying to get into their bunks. By the time they accomplish this relatively easy task it's time for them to get dressed and get off the train! I hope I am forgiven if I offer an opinion here, but this is simply boring. This entire sequence of events was repeated much later in The Big Noise (1944). |
