| Laurel & Hardy 3-reeler (although generally shown as a 2-reeler without the Stan/letter sequence). This one is the most simple and basic of plots: the boys are in a small hotel room trying to conceal a dog (as referred to in the title) from the miserable landlord. The dog ends up outside in the cold snow, on the roof, in the chimney, in the cupboard, everywhere you can fit a dog...but after a lot of noise, disturbance and destruction the landlord finally snaps and thrown them all out. A similar routine took place a couple of years previously involving a goat in place of the dog in Angora Love (1929). |
