A successful young stockbroker (LaBeouf) teams up with a legendary ex-Wall Street executive recently released from prison (Douglas) in order to bring down a ruthless businessman (Brolin) whom he blames for his friend's death in exchange for reuniting the man with his estranged stroppy daughter.

A sequel should retain some elements of the original film, and this does to some extent, but the lead character is seen too infrequently and the padded out storyline seems to be slightly out of focus in relation to the structure of the movie. By no means a bad film, and it holds its own for the best part, despite its flaws in the editing of the picture as a whole.
