An out-of-control freight train carrying hazardous materials is on a one-way mission to disaster after the driver throws the throttle, jumps off and fails to remount in time. Then it becomes a desperate race to stop the train in order to avert a major catastrophe.

The fifth teaming between director Scott and star Washington and the second involving trains, is well directed, beautifully photographed and edge-of-the-seat material.
