Enjoyable cinematic introduction of a Marvel B-lister. Rudd and Douglas make a good team, and the whole film is fun enough to overlook the plot holes. Stoll makes a good wacko villain, and in a world where businessmen can jack up the cost of AIDS medications 5000% overnight, he's probably the most plausible MCU bad guy yet. Nice nods to the character's history, inlcuding Garrett Morris' cameo!
Apparently if you're a critic, being pleasing and fun isn't good enough these days; everything has to be ground-breaking or 'significant.' I would advise reviewers like Richard Roper and A.O. Stoll to go watch Sullivan's Travels to re-learn what popular movies are for. Either that, or up the Viagra dose to comepnsate for that inadequacy you so obviously feel. Regular folk, meanwhile, go watch fun films like this and enjoy.
