I think the first Frankenstein movie I ever saw was Hammer's Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed (1969), but I took to heart the moral of the story...no matter how enticing, no matter how great your desire for success, regardless of peer pressure - DO NOT RESURRECT THE DEAD! Anyway, Lazarus Effect is an efficient little rehash of the whole thing with a Carrie/Poltergeist thing going on. Good cast (especially the dog), forgettable material. The best thing about the film is it's icky ferro-fluid opening credits! |
