Airliner is diverted to Berlin, where its load of unhappy passengers are changed by the charm and atmosphere of the city. Mildly diverting film is hampered somewhat by the banlity of the indvidual stories and a tendency to devolve into travelogue, but has a degree of sincerity and goodwill that helps propel it above those faults. Six decades on, it's a pleasant time capsule of a city rediscovering itself after a devastating war. -Dave W. |
