In which Winnie the Pooh and other denizens of the 100 Acre wood arrive in London to help Christopher Robin get his life in order. Blandly predictable tale with nice 50s trappings and a winning cast. The A.A. Milne creatures, here presented as Disney envisioned them, start off a little creepy but become more likable as the story unfolds. A couple of moments have the feels but I'm still happier with Dennis Potter's take on a similar theme in "Dreamchild". |
