The first episode of 1995 has Monica and Phoebe causing the accident of a handsome man they meet in the street and taking turns to spend a vigil by his hospital bed during his subsequent coma. Chandler's mother, a celebrity author, visits him and ends up seducing Ross when the friends go to a fancy restaurant (classic moment when they end up in a snog outside the toilets as Joey walks past!). And Rachel continues to be engrossed in Paolo when he returns from Italy, much to Ross' discomfort.
