After Ross chooses Rachel she writes him an 18-page letter which he is required to read and agree with before they can resume their former relationship, but he falls asleep before he reaches the end. Joey and Chanlder come back from the beach with the look of fear on their faces after an incident involving Monica and a jellyfish! Phoebe tells her mum she doesn't want anything more to do with her, but the two seemingly agree to give things a try after they find they do have some things in common. Good start to the new season.
