Daughter of wealthy, wheelchair-bound industrialist is kidnapped, but the British government is more concerned that he might leak state secrets than with the daughter's safety. Drake is called in to resolved the situation, and he, of course, IS more concerned with the daughter's safe return. More notable for Drake's neat handling of a wheelechair as a deadly weapon and Troughton's sneering thug than anything else. Wanamaker's angry spoiled cripple hardly engenders much sympathy, though a more nuanced portayal might have helped. -Dave W. |
