Man in unnamed communist Asian country is jailed after shooting a local while on his honeymoon. Drake is tasked with helping free him. After learning the truth about the events, he is forced to make it a jailbreak instead. Easily the worst of all Danger Man episodes, Firstly, there is the unfortunate display of caucasian actors playing Asians. It is dismaying to see talented actors like Peake and Montague playing Chinese as if it were a West End pantomime. Secondly, Bazely's character is perhaps the most obnoxiously stupid and self-involved female character out of several that appear in the show's run, and totally distracts from whatever else this episode might have going for it. Thank goodness both these traits were only infrequent aberrations! -Dave W. Ralph Kramden and Ed Norton do not make an appearance... |
