Shannon's death leaves Sayid distraught and desperate to get his hands on Ana-Lucia but he is overpowered by Eko and subsequently tied up and taken hostage. When the dust settles and all is revealed he, along with Michael and Jin are released to be re-united with their original group, which brings about an emotional reunion for Rose & Bernard as well as Sun & Jin.
