Ace is out to catch a bandit robbing the secretarial pool of Modern Woman Magazine. Final episode of this very short-lived series highlights its issues; not very funny bits of physical comedy that drag on for too long, and the desperate trope of putting a character in drag. It worked for Bugs Bunny, not so much for new shows trying to find their footing. No show should have the line "It's so weird seeing you dressed in my wife's clothes!" EVER. The final fight between Ace and the Bandit is very amusing, though. Conway's janitor disguise is, like most of the others in the series, borrowed from his Carol Burnett days, in this case Mr. Tudball from the Boss & Secretary sketches. |
