Excellent film, easily Winner's best, and one of the best satires the Sixties brough to us. The Hamayasha movie camera commercial that is the centerpiece of the film is still tastlessly brilliant; substitute the Super 8 camera with an iPhone and you'll see nothing has changed. The only detriments are a soggy finale and a swingin' score by Francis Lai that dates this film far more than the fashions.

Note: Wendy Craig calls her daughter "Liza," but later in the film the daughter's playmates are told to wave goodbye to "Philippa's daddy" (Reed). So perhaps there was a good reason they referred to her as "Thing"!
