Another quirky film beloved of this author (and few others). Nothing much happens and Billy Liar/Walter Mitty were there first but I love the heroine of the piece and the message and the music (Delibes' Lakme) and the silly little bits of low budget magic - the last of which - and you have you have to let the end credits roll - is just beautiful.
