| Rivalries between two New York gangs, The Jets and The Sharks, are fueled when one of the leading Jets falls in love with the Shark's leader's sister. Possibly the best Hollywood movie musical. Great songs, great choreography and dancing (particularly Russ Tamblyn), wishy-washy leads but a superb supporting cast make up for that. Highly recommended. I've had a shot at getting the gang members right - but it ain't easy so if anyone knows better, sing out. |
