| Filmed entirely in Maryland, USA, three young adults venture out into the Burkittsville woods to make a film documentary about a legendary witch, but their quest is soon thrown into jeapody when they get themselves lost, disorientated and become hostile towards one another. At the time it was the biggest grossing movie from the smallest budget in the history of cinema (it held that record for nearly ten years). Much has been written and spoken about the effect of having seen the film, and few have dared to admit that it scared the sh*t out of them (I'm one of them!) It's a unique horror movie, with no violence, no gore, no blood, no sex, no nudity... the disturbing issue with it is with the imagination of what is going on, what you think you see and hear and jumping to your own conclusions. Confused? Go watch it and make up your own mind.
This documentary is featured on the DVD release.
