| Soldier returning from the war finds only apathy and that his wife is being courted by the lodger.
Dominic Roche's phenomenally successful stage farce makes at least for modern sensibilities a dull and unfunny film. But what it does have is Ms. Dors shining bright (and even brighter in alternate versions if the stills are to be believed). Alan Sedgwick is dreadful as Ms. Dors Texan GI suitor. Thanks to Gerald Lovell for a couple of the id's over at the old britmovie forum. |
