The scene where Mr. Burns climbs into an escape pod to evacuate the power plant is a copy of the scene in Star Wars.
Homer emerges from the hole in the ground after a nuclear reaction angry and glowing green in an obvious Hulk parody.
Mr. Burns attempts to attack one of the board members with a baseball bat similar to the scene in The Untouchables.
The couch gag is a reference to Monty Python's Flying Circus, and a sequence with three nerds at the college recite dialogue from Monty Python And The Holy Grail.
