A faster-than-the-speed-of-sound passenger aircraft, the Concorde, is making its inaugural flight from the States to Paris when it is suddenly attacked by a wayward nuclear missile, intended to destroy inciminating documents which have been passed on to one the passengers. The fourth, and last in the Airport series of movies is without doubt the most silliest. But on the plus side it does offer big George a much meatier role than in his previous three outings as Joe Patroni. ~The LordAwful "all-star" disaster movie style entry in the Airport movie cycle. George Kennedy gets my favourite worst line of dialogue in any movie ever. Kristel is decorative and the excellent supporting cast try hard. More proof that the the poor Concorde jet liner was jinxed from the get go. ~ The Sloth It has Charo AND Jimmie Walker in it. Enough said. ~Dave W.See also Airport, Airport 1975, and Airport '77. |
