Failed writer falls in with an evil woman who wants to get rid of her wealthy husband.

Standard noir stuff, but well directed and well acted, especially by James. Nicol's character is a little too much of a stooge, but the positives outweigh the negatives here.

Note: Certain scenes must have been cut, as some prominently listed cast members (John Sharp, Joan Hickson, Monti de Lyle) are barely visible in the finished film.
