Three years after he is abducted by aliens in front of his young son, a father returns to his family only to find that his wife has moved on and his son is now afraid of him. Not a great film, but does have some great scenes: a must-see sequence featuring Maryam D'Abo enjoying some afternoon activity (a hint of which is included on this page in the 'stills' section), and one of those moments which makes you jump as a car travels down a dark country lane late one night. Not to mention an impregnation of a young woman in her cottage and a very uncomfortable moment between the father and son as well. Although thought of by some to be part of the notorious Video Nasties list, the film was in fact released uncut in 1987, re-classified 15 in 2007; it was a common title seized during police raids in the North of England prior to the official list being published. ~ The Lord.Madly inventive sci-fi horror from the UK concerning alien impregnation and other family favourites. Misses greatness, but I do give Harry Davenport points for trying. ~ The Sloth. Followed by Xtro 2 seven years later. |
