Film Dope

Drake, on behalf of an old friend whose daughter's life has been ruined by heroin, travels to an unnamed Middle Eastern nation whose government is selling opium directly to the dealers. Enlisting the aid of a British government clerk, Drake tries to do what he can to stop the trade.

One of the best of the early episodes, enlivened by an excellent Donald Pleasance performance as an "ineffectual, rather pompous, and aggressively English" old Etonian type with a sharp sense of honor. Also a pleasure to see Lois Maxwell in a role besides Miss Moneypenny!
